I could have confessed to failing last week's challenge much sooner. I just couldn't bring myself to admit to such abject failure. I started with the very best of intentions and phoned an aunt on Monday evening, sadly she didn't really seem to want to talk and the call lasted only a few minutes. I actually felt quite dejected but resolved to carry on regardless. Tuesday was Julie's turn – except that she sent an email early in the evening explaining that she was really busy – could I call on Wednesday. That sort of took the wind out of my sails and I lost the impetus to keep the challenge going. I did call her on Wednesday but sadly that ended up being rushed because of John's birthday celebrations – dinner was being cooked and the lovely Carl, my reflexologist, was due at 7.30.
So there you have it – I made no further attempts to call anybody after that. I think I may be a little phone-phobic actually – I don't find it the easiest thing in the world to pick up the phone and talk to my nearest and dearest and I have absolutely no idea why! So if you are reading this and I owe you a phone call or two – please forgive me, it's nothing personal I'm just really bad at keeping in touch by phone!
I've decided not to set a challenge this week – I can just feel it's going to be a bit of a pig of a week at work, don't ask why I just have a feeling in my water! If I'm wrong I'll gladly admit to it – my boss is away as well this week so that leaves lil' ol' me to keep things going – deep joy!
Hope this week is all you would wish it to be for yourselves – I'll catch you later in the week.
