We had a lovely stroll, birds were singing and wading, the sun was shining but boy, was that wind cold! As we crossed the mini level crossing we saw a rather diffident young lady in a canoe-type boat with a man, possibly her father, trying to instil some confidence in her. She wobbled from side to side as she started to paddle into the river. 'Keep your hands level' he yelled. As John rightly pointed out, she should have been wearing a lifejacket!
Anyway - here are the pictures that I took - not too many, just a few!
A couple of more confident canoists!
The buoys and the gulls (sorry!!)
Boats
The sky was gorgeous here, sadly it hasn't come out so well
We rounded off our walk with coffee in the Whistle Stop Cafe at the railway station - oh, should probably confess to a sausage roll (him) and a flapjack (me).
We both really enjoyed the walk - really must do it more often!
What a lovely walk Heather! Is this near you? Just beautiful. Your photos are really nice, I love the first one in particular. And the buoys and gulls - love it. You should consider linking a couple of these to Weekend Reflections. Kathy
